The Love That We Create

What is love?

In my eyes, love is when you look at something or somebody and you tell yourself that you couldn’t live without that special person/thing.  You wouldn’t feel complete without them/it.

I personally, would very much like to be in love. Real love. The sort of love that destroys you if it’s ignored. I want to shout it from a rooftop somewhere nobody knows. I want a love that keeps me awake from night until dawn when the sun creeps behind the far away mountains. Although it would not be true if I said that I’d enjoyed not being able to sleep, but, not being able to sleep because of love is something completely different.

But who said that one should find its one true love? Maybe there is no one true love after all? Maybe we only believe in that concept because we watch too many movies about it, thus making us believe in something that doesn’t even exist at all. And so if it’s true, what if I never meet that one person? Will I be sad and lonely for the rest of my living days? I don’t think so. Maybe it’s just one very bad excuse for being alone after all… Saying that if you’ve been single for that long, it’s because you haven’t met your other half. It’s a little bit strange coming from me because I’ve never even had a boyfriend… but I still think that it’s bullshit. I just want to love, big love, contagious love, selfish love, happy love, true love, keeping me awake all night love, crazy love, all kinds of love! Even if it’s not my one and only, I just want love.

I believe that love is not something that happens on us, I strongly believe that we create love.

Love is born from us.
